The campus of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Tarn Taran was filled with joy, devotion, and festive spirit as students and staff came together to celebrate Bandi Chhor Divas and Deepawali with great enthusiasm.
The celebrations began with a special morning assembly highlighting the spiritual significance of Bandi Chhor Divas, marking the historic day when Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji, the Sixth Guru, was released from imprisonment and ensured the freedom of 52 kings along with himself. Students beautifully presented shabad gayan, speeches, and poems that inspired everyone to follow the path of compassion, courage, and righteousness.
The spirit of Deepawali added a vibrant glow to the occasion. The school was adorned with diyas, candles, and colorful decorations, creating an atmosphere of light and positivity. Students participated in rangoli making, diya decoration, and poster competitions, showcasing their creativity and festive cheer.
The event concluded with sweets distribution and heartfelt prayers for peace, prosperity, and the triumph of good over evil.
